Weekend Update
Totally forgot my weekend update yesterday. Sooooo here is a little about last week and our weekend.
This past Wednesday, TC and I started a new small group thru church. It's on Wednesday nights and everybody brings their kids. We eat then do the new FreshAir bible study that our pastor Chris Hodges developed off his book. Last week was just the intro, but it's going to be AWESOME once we really get into the "meat" of it.
Thursday, Grandmother, Janice, Reagan and I headed up to Leeds to the outlet mall. As we finished up lunch our cousin/grandaughter Cammie happened to run into us! It was such a fun surprise and we all got to spend the afternoon shopping together. We also got to stop by Cammie's house and visit her new baby and our new cousin. Sweet Hillary is only a few weeks old and Reagan LOVED her. She was being stingy with the baby and made grandmother give her back so she could hold her!
Friday night we went out to dinner with Robert and Anna Claire at Jalapenos up near our house. It was delicious as usual.
Saturday was one of the most fun days I have had in awhile. About 11am, Anna Claire and I headed up to Birmingham to meet up with some girlfriends for Eileen's bachelorette party. It was at Ross Bridge Resort and Spa. We hung out by the pool all day, got massages at the spa, then went to dinner. It was absolutely perfect. One of the most fun, girly, relaxing days I have had in a long time. We all had such a great time together.
TC and Reagan spent the morning with Rodney at the farm and then the afternoon/night with Bill and Leigh and baby Grey. She finally decided to hold him and I can't believe I missed it! But, I was getting picture updates throughout the day. TC said they had an awesome day and some great bonding time. I am so thankful I have an awesome husband who is always there to care for our child.
Sunday morning we headed to church then out to lunch at Mr. G's with Robert and Anna Claire. On the way home from lunch we stopped by Sokol park and watched the model airplanes for a little bit. It was a perfect day. Unfortunately we wasted it by taking 2 hour naps. But what else is Sunday afternoon for anyways?

Weekend Update
Short and sweet post from the Lightsey's this weekend! Friday night we visited Leigh, Bill and baby Grey. All of our close friends came over for a little time together. Robert and Anna Claire were there along with Rob and Brittany. Also, Leigh's good friend Maddie. The baby was perfect and slept thru our visit. Reagan informed us on the car ride over she was "too little to hold babies". She did "pet" him though eventually. On the way there she said, "Wait, has he been bornded yet?" All this build up over 9 months has seriously confused her, and she is not as impressed with him at this point. I assured her he was going to get fun really soon.
Saturday TC and Reagan spent the day at the racetrack in Leeds so TC could ride. Meemee and Pa picked them up at 6AM Saturday morning. Since I was already up, I decided to clean out Reagan's room while she was gone. I then spent my morning cleaning the whole house and grocery shopping. After lunch I laid in the bathtub for 2 hours. That is my absolute favorite thing to do for hours on end, reading a book.
Saturday night TC grilled out for us and we went to bed early. Sunday morning we headed to church over at Highlands Tuscaloosa. It was an AWESOME sermon. After church we headed to Hokkaido with Robert and Anna Claire for the first time since they re-opened from the tornado. It was absolutely delicious!! After lunch, Robert and TC had to have their suits fitted for Patrick's wedding. We then headed home for our regularly scheduled Sunday afternoon naps.
It's now Sunday night and I just dropped Reagan off at Ceecee and Poppas to spend the night. They are going to take her to school in the morning. She was in absolute heaven.
So that's it. The fascinating life of the Lightsey's….

Weekend Update
So my last weekend update said that we ended Sunday night with Reagan having "Fever virus". Unfortunately, Tuesday morning she was still not better. We paid a visit to our normal pediatrician and she sent us to Northport Hospital for blood work and a chest x-ray. I will admit, I thought to myself how silly, a chest x-ray, she isn't even wheezing? But thank the Lord we found out she had pneumonia! PNEUMONIA?? Of all things? The only symptom she has had was fever. And a huge shout out to her for not making a peep during the blood work. She did not even cry and in the middle of the lady taking blood asked if she was going to get a prize. So of course, we went to Krispy Kreme afterwards. Anyways, after a few days of antibiotics we are almost as good as new.
Also, on Wednesday baby Grey finally made his arrival!! I will save those pictures for his own separate post.
So Friday night after work I had a hair appointment. I LOVE the beauty shop. It is one of my favorite places to spend time and money. Seriously. TC went and picked up Reagan and they spent some time bonding at "Old McDonald's" AKA McDonalds.
Saturday morning we had a birthday party to attend at 10 am. Reagan was OVER it. She got hot and sweaty then did not want to have anything to do with the party so we left early. We got home and she slept for 3 hours. I think she is tiring very easily from getting over being so sick. Saturday afternoon Rob and Brittany and Wes and his Brittany all came to our house to watch the game. We had a great night hanging out.
Sunday morning we went to church then came home for another 3 hour nap. I really could get use to she and I taking 3 hour naps everyday. After we finally got up, I straightened up the house and decided to cut the grass. I have found I really enjoy relaxing while I am cutting the grass. Who knew?
The best part about this weekend? We still have all day tomorrow to do things! TC and I are both off work and are excited to continue our relaxing weekend!
She asked TC if she could wear these shoes to church this morning. Thank goodness he talked her out of them.

Weekend Update
Friday night we went to a low country boil in honor of Patrick and Eileen's wedding festivities!! It was so much fun and we saw a bunch of people we haven't got to visit with in forever. I love good ole' county high reunions.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early to head to Jasper. We went to the Ford dealership so TC could get his new truck. Lucky us, the salesman had been working there for a whole week. Needless to say, it took FOREVER.

Weekend Update
Is it weird I really had to think super hard about Friday to remember what I did? I went with co-workers after work for some quality, not-at-work, time. I got home and the people across the lake were having a party with an awesome live band. TC, Reagan and I sat outside and played enjoying it all until our crazy dog disappeared. One minute he was beside us and the next gone. So, we got out the golf cart and went searching for him. We found every other dog in the neighborhood. Literally, we found 7 other dogs and he was nowhere around. Luckily, we finally found him hanging out at the marina. Needless to say, he went to time out for the night. AKA, he slept outside, which is his worst nightmare.
Saturday morning we got up early and headed to town. TC is getting a new work truck so we went to the Ford dealership to truck shop, picked up his suit for Patricks wedding, lunch at Five guys, a trip to toys-r-us and then back home. Bill and Leigh came up for dinner. Poor Leigh is still on bed-rest so we kept her in the chair all night. TC and Bill cooked us some amazing chicken wings. A Lightsey favorite for sure.
Sunday morning we went to church, then out to lunch with Anna Claire, Robert, Austin and Uncle Jason. We ended up at Academy to buy a few things. Reagan successfully pooped and or peed in every place we went all weekend. I think it's a game she plays with me. She waits until the most in-opportune time and announces she has to "GO" right then. She has a fascination with bathrooms at other places these days. I guess I shouldn't complain since she is finally potty trained though.
We spent the afternoon on the boat with Ceecee and Poppa. We rode all over the lake and loved it. It was such an easy and relaxing weekend. We have so much to be thankful for at our house. And trust me, we are!

Weekend Update
So, I have had alot going on but not much to time to write about it. This past week we have had a bunch of excitement. Thankfully Leigh and Grey are still holding out while they are on bedrest. Leigh has more than enough time on her hands for Olympic watching and DVR.
Last Wednesday Reagan had her second performance at ballet for viewers. She definitely had a crowd. Her admirers included me, TC, CeeCee, Meemee, Pa, Grandmother, Granddaddy, and Aunt Janice. Pretty sure our family alone filled up the room. She did awesome and didn't even panic when she saw everybody there to watch her. And I may or may not have bribed her with a Barbie DVD.
I am also so excited to share that our BFF "little" Anna Claire got her baby sister last Tuesday!! Lillian Virginia is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and I cannot wait to get to sit and hold her for hours. We are so proud of Josh and Lindsey.
But you want to know my most exciting news?? I GOT A LAWNMOWER. Yes, you read that correctly. It's ALL MINE. TC works outside all day and hates to have to come home and do yard work. Well I have time, and I like the yard to not be so ghetto… Solution? I got a riding lawnmower. I would like to give a huge shout out to Pa (TC's dad) for hooking me up with my new ride. I would also like to give a shout out to my supplier Singley Small Engine.
With all that being said, Friday night we had a great and relaxing evening at home grilling out. Saturday we got up and spent the morning swimming on the dock and playing. Saturday afternoon we had a group nap. Seriously, TC on a couch, Reagan on another couch and I was in the chair. We all slept from 2-4:00pm. How awesome is that? We then had dinner at Chick-fil-A and went to visit Bill and Leigh.
Sunday morning we headed to church then out to lunch with Robert and Anna Claire. Our church is having 21 days of prayer and it's going to be amazing. After lunch we went to our neighbors house and went swimming with their kids. They wear Reagan out. About an hour after being there she crawled in my lap, yawned once and passed out. Literally, slept like a rock for over an hour. Then Sunday night we cooked dinner at Bill and Leigh's. TC made some AWESOME homemade buffalo chicken pizza. It was DELICIOUS… That about wraps up our lives.
Reagan and I are spending tomorrow (Tuesday) with Lindsey, Anna Claire and Lillian. I am so excited so get to bond with that new baby. And give Lindsey some much needed rest…
**PS Blogger is being crazy and I can't upload any pictures from the weekend??? Some to come in the near future!!

Weekend Update
Another week over. They are flying by way too fast these days. Friday night TC, Reagan and I had a quick dinner at Jalapenos near our house then spent the night just hanging out. Reagan is actually kind of fun to take to restaurant these days. *Note: This is not always these case with her two year old self.
Saturday morning TC and Reagan left early to go to the racetrack at Barbers. TC was having a race day and took sister with him. She LOVES the racetrack and he said she was awesome all day. I had a day to myself and laid out on the dock with some of my friends from work.
Also on Saturday morning I got a text from our BFF Bill that said Leigh was in the hospital with contractions. We are so excited to meet Grey, just not quite yet. Leigh is only 33 weeks and he needs a little more time to develop. Saturday night we went to visit them and take dinner to the hospital. Leigh looked fabulous as always.
Sunday morning was church as usual then we came home to spend some quality time down at the lake. We swam and played on the dock. It's been a short weekend and I am sad it's over. I have had my phone in my hand at every second making sure Bill hasn't called or texted me. TC and I have been in their shoes delivering a baby early and it's the scariest thing in this world. Please, please, please say a prayer for the Vaughan's as they go thru this season in their life. Say a prayer for Grey that the steroids have helped develop his lungs and both he and momma have a safe delivery. Not sure when he's going to decide the time is right but Bill is saying sooner rather than later. WE LOVE YOU BILL, LEIGH AND GREY!!

Weekend Update
Short and sweet weekend update from the Lightsey's. We had a long week with the random holiday in the middle. (I will post my 4th pictures this week). So needless to say, on Friday night we were pooped! I came home and cooked dinner, which I never do on Fridays. Then I think we were all in bed by 9pm. Not exciting stuff there huh?
Saturday morning was raining. Thank goodness for that because we needed it desperately around here. We lazed around pretty much all day. TC took Reagan over to Meemee and Pa's for about a little bit and I watched a movie at home. That is a luxury I NEVER get and I LOVED it. Saturday night we went over to Josh and Lindsey's for a cookout. Reagan and Anna Claire were so happy to see each other and get to play. They literally ran in circles they were so happy. I hope as they grow older they remain best friends. The kind that you have known forever and know you can always count on. Anna Claire's baby sister is due in just a few weeks, so we are enjoying these last few visits with the Johnson's as a family of three.
Sunday we headed to church then went to lunch with Robert,"big" Anna Claire and Will. Newk's just never disappoints us these days. We spent the afternoon at Meemee and Pa's in the pool. It was all in all a great weekend.
This is going to be a very busy week as we get ready for Bill and Leigh's baby shower on Saturday. It's at our house, so I have LOTS of cleaning to do! I am so very excited to celebrate baby Grey this weekend. It's a couples shower so that means all our friends will be together. You can't go wrong with all of us together.

Weekend Update
Friday night was date night…for the three of us. We started out at our favorite Mexican restaurant El Kmart. (The real name is something way longer.) We just call it El Kmart because its in the same shopping center as Kmart… Anyways. Reagan was super cute and funny and ate a ton of her food. We left there and went to Academy. TC needed "stuff". I don't even remember what we bought? So then I decided I needed "stuff", so I made him take me to Ulta. Because a girl always needs more makeup and lip gloss and nail polish right? Oh and if you heard/saw a crazy 2 year old running thru Academy, my bad… She was enjoying herself being loud and crazy and quite frankly I was too full to care. Dinner was delicious.
Saturday morning TC went to ride his new motorcycle we bought two weeks ago. Did I mention he purchased a YELLOW one? And I mean its yellow people. Very, very yellow. Reagan and I went to lunch with our BFF "Anta Claire" at Chick fil A. They have been missing each other and needed to play! We spent the rest of Saturday at home hanging out. TC didn't get home till late so we just chilled out and spent a nice relaxing night at home.
Sunday morning we were up early to head to church. It was a great sermon by one of Church of the Highlands guest pastors. He did a phenomenal job and we loved it. We spent all afternoon Sunday on the lake. CeeCee and Rodney came to play with us and some other friends stopped by on their pontoon boat. All in all another great weekend for the books.

Weekend Update
Well, our crazy weekend started off with a trip to the ER. Yep, I just said ER. TC has just completed his first bout with kidney stones. He pretty much summed it up as he felt like he was dying. And before the nurse came in with a shot of pain meds he was pretty much freaking out. I was absolutely useless because I just stood there and watched him writhing around in pain. Literally, I just stood there staring at him wondering what it felt like? Thankfully, the shot of meds helped and they took him for a CT. Turns out the little booger was 4mm and in his bladder by the time they got a picture. We finished the night with some Sonic and I took the hottest shower I could stand to scrub off the nastiness that is the Emergency Room…I will spare you the grossness of the picture of the kidney stone when it came out.
Saturday morning TC has already planned to take Reagan up to Barber's Motorsports for the sportbike races. (Insert new hobby here). He felt alot better so they ended up still heading to Bham. He said she was awesome and loved it. She keeps talking about the racetrack and wearing her helmut. I totally enjoyed my time sunning on the dock with some friends from work. Saturday night when they got home Uncle Rob and Bill-Bill came to cook dinner. We had an awesome steak and they introduced me to my new favorite steak sauce. Williamson Brothers in case your wondering. Reagan and I went to bed and the boys rode the golf cart over to the neighbors house where they were having a party. I totally missed out because it was apparently the Whiskey River Band. Pretty cool…
Sunday morning we headed to church then out to lunch. It was an awesome message about living and showing your religion in the right way. It was one that TC and I both agreed we really enjoyed and needed to hear. Sunday afternoon we had some friends over to play on the lake. Uncle Rob and Bill brought the stand up jet-ski. Then our friends Lindsey and Justin brought their boys Brenton and Lane. We had a fun afternoon playing in the water and on the dock. Such a fun day with friends.
I forgot to take any pictures until tonight, so I will just leave you with this picture of my sweet girl contemplating life…

Weekend Update
My weekend started off with some girl time. Friday afternoon I went out to eat with some co-workers for a birthday dinner celebration. We literally laughed so hard and had the best time together. It is amazing to have so much fun with the people you work with!!
Saturday morning Reagan and I got ready to head up to Sylacauga. Our cousin Cammie is having a baby girl! Grandmother and Janice rode with us and we headed out of town about 11:00. We stopped for lunch and got there right in time for the baby shower. Reagan was such a trooper there and back. She talked non stop the entire way home. She got to see her sweet cousin Jolee Camille.
Saturday night when we got home we cooked out with our neighbors. They are always so much fun. And they cooked us dinner so that makes them even better neighbors!

We ended the evening with dinner at Bill and Leigh's house. Uncle Bill Bill outdid himself with fried squash, zuchinni, and grilled pork. Then Leigh fixed squash casserole and cucumber salad. It was an absolutely delicious meal and I could not be more thankful for their friendship. And not just because they feed us…

Reagan and I left early from Barbers to head home. I had to be back early for Patrick and Eileen's Engagement party at Evangelines. Thanks to Robert and AC for letting me use their shower so I didn't waste 30 more minutes driving all the way home. We had a great night celebrating for Pat and Eileen and their wedding is going to be so fun!
Sunday morning we made it to church for the first time in a few weeks. (Insert stomach virus weekends here.) I knew I wasn't feeling 100% but didn't know why. Reagan and I took a nap after lunch and I woke up with a 103 fever!! OMG I am going from freezing to hot flashes when my fever breaks from Tylenol. I feel totally fine just a random fever? Who knows… Just a day in the life of the Lightsey's!

Weekend Update
Well, the weekend started off with a bang. TC had stomach bug… NOT FUN. He felt nauseous Friday afternoon/night and woke me up puking about 10:30. Now don't get me wrong, I love my hubs very much. But with that being said, I HATE hearing him throw up. It is the loudest most awkward (and sorry TC, but obnoxious) sound I have ever heard. It just makes me want to run the other way screaming. BUT, since I am a good wifey, I took him a wet rag and told him to yell if he needed anything else. *SIDE NOTE: I know I do totally annoying and gross things all the time.
Saturday morning, good ole Ray was up at 6:30 am asking for milk. I got lucky and she fell back asleep till about 8. TC was still out of commission, so we entertained ourselves for the day. We went to Academy and Hobby Lobby then out to lunch with CeeCee. Reagan ended up spending the night with mom and I came home and had a relaxing night with TC. He moved from the bed to the couch and that was the extent of his day.
Thankfully on Sunday TC felt alot better. We got up early and went to pick up Reagan. She was NOT ready to come home and when she saw us pulling up she started saying NO and trying to hide!! We spent the day hanging around outside and not doing much of anything. It has been an incredibly uneventful weekend at our house. I can't believe I am saying this, but I am kinda ready for work tomorrow.
This Wednesday we start big girl ballet. That means I won't be in the room anymore!! We got new ballet shoes, tights, and 2 new leotards this weekend. My sweet little girl is growing up way too fast. Before I know it she's gonna want a cellphone…

Weekend Update
It's been an amazingly uneventful week and weekend at the Lightsey's. We cooked some great dinners this week (well, hubs did one and I did one), we went to swimming lessons, we hung out. Thursday night I had a girls night with some of my sweet girlfriends. The older I get, the more I realize those are the people you sometimes need the most surrounding you. They are girls I know I could count on for anything. And I mean anything, and I hope they feel the same about me.
Friday night we fried chicken wings with Bill Bill and Rob. If you know us at all, you know that is one of our FAVORITE meals. I live for chicken wings, and I am not embarrassed to admit it on the internet. It was a nice, fun, relaxing evening. I am also thankful for hubs friends. We know we could count on them for anything too.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early and went and got kittens. Yes, you read that correctly. They are so stinking cute, but are going to live in Coker with mom and dad. We just babysat them overnight. While we were doing that TC and his dad put the boat in the water. TC took his first wakeboarding run of the summer. Then, Saturday night we went with our good friends Josh and Lindsey to a benefit for DCH hospital. They had a great band, but we unfortunately did not win the $7,000 diamond that was given away. We still had a really good time hanging out without our two year olds. It's been a long time since the four of us hung out without kids!!
And that brings us to Sunday… We overslept for church and I have loads and loads of laundry to do. We are getting the house ready for our huge crawfish boil next weekend. I am so excited for this… Sorry for no pictures, my camera is in the car and I am not willing to venture outside for it.

Weekend Update
Saturday morning TC got up and was productive. Reagan and I just watched him cut grass and fix the yard. We did keep him company outside while blowing bubbles for an hour though.
Sitting on the porch!! So sweet!
Yeap, he seriously wore overalls to cut the grass.
The Birthday Girl

Laying in the balls being silly!!
We had a great sunday at church followed by lunch with Robert and "big" Anna Claire. That was followed by an awesome Sunday afternoon nap and then we played with our neighbors. They have 3 kids that are hilarious. Their little girl is 4 and thinks TC is her dad's brother for some reason. She also has named him Reece and absolutely would not call him by his real name. Needless to say I see a fun and interesting summer in our future with the neighbors!!

Weekend Update
So Friday night our amazing, wonderful, sweet and dear best friends kept Reagan for us. Bill Bill and Leigh are two of TC and my best friends, whom we love dearly. (And NOT just because they babysat Friday night either) Reagan was pumped when we got there and could have cared less that we were leaving her. She LOVES being at their house anytime, so she was thrilled to be the center of attention for a few hours. They of course had super fun things planned for her like a whole bubble blowing extravaganza and painting. They are brave because they actually gave her real paints and paper and whatnot.
While Reagan was having the time of her life, TC and I went to the Luke Bryan concert. We had SO MUCH FUN. He put on an amazing show at the ampitheater here in Tuscaloosa. I didn't even realize I knew over half the songs he sang. TC is the music buff in our house not me.
Saturday morning we all slept late then took a trip to Lowe's. Thank goodness I put on makeup because we saw about 50 people we knew. We ended up with a new outdoor rug for the porch and cushions for my chairs. Reagan and TC were playing in the yard Saturday afternoon when she started freaking out! TC was right beside her and couldn't figure out what had happened? Turns out she tried to pick up a Buckmoth Caterpillar! It stung her little hand and obviously hurt pretty bad. I think it took us almost an hour to get her calmed down. And yes, we googled what kind of caterpillar it was. Needless to say, she probably will never touch a caterpillar again in her life! Saturday night Bill Bill came over for dinner while Leigh worked. Uncle Jason also showed up and the five of us had some awesome boiled shrimp with new potatoes and corn on the cob.
Sunday morning we headed to church and watched an amazing event. About 20 people were baptized at the Church of the Highlands Tuscaloosa campus. It was such a humbling experience to be a part of. Reagan even got to see what was happening and had a million questions. Makes my heart proud to teach her what being a Christian is about. Her sweet innocent words hit home when she said, "I so happy I clappin' for them!!" She obviously doesn't get it all the way, but she knew the joy that everyone around her was feeling and took part in it.
Sunday afternoon we ended with a spontaneous boat ride with our good friends Josh, Lindsey and little Anna Claire. That's the joy of living on the lake! We just randomly got picked up for a boat ride!!
Hope you are all as blessed as the Lightsey's today!! And sorry for no pictures, I was a slacker this weekend!

Weekend Update
HE IS RISEN!! What a wonderful Easter weekend it turned out to be! We are beyond blessed in the Lightsey household and I am so thankful every single day. Friday night my best friend from high school and college roommate was in town for the weekend so she came to see the new house and visit! We laughed so hard at some old stories and I am kinda amazed I lived thru college…
Saturday morning we got up bright and early to head to my side of the family in Sylacauga. Reagan and I both had crazy sinus issues going on and my throat was KILLING me!! We arrived, ate lunch and hunted eggs. Well, I assume they hunted eggs, because I laid under a blanket on the couch shivering from fever.
Huntin' eggs
CeeCee was really excited about her eggs!
Side note: her daddy put those 'too little' pjs on the night before!
That was an IV in her head, one of the hardest things I had to look at on her.
Thankful for HIS blessing!!
Happy Easter 2012

Weekend Update
Another weekend over, so sad!! We started Friday night off right with amazing boiled shrimp thanks to the hubs. He can whip up some seafood like a champ.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early for some yard work. I am happy to report I was actually helpful this time. We spread a dump truck FULL of mulch first. I almost had a heart attack when TC pulled up with a truck load full! I was thinking a little mound, boy was I wrong.
While he was doing the sod I took Reagan to her second cousin JoLee Camille's 1st birthday party. It was super cute and had a pink and green theme. Reagan could have cared less about anybody but her great-grandaddy Saturday. He is wrapped around her little finger. As soon as he got there she wouldn't have anything to do with anybody else. Oh and of course she was worried about getting cake.
When we got home from the birthday party I helped TC stain the back deck. It was actually a lot easier going than we thought it would be and we finished quickly.
Sunday we were actually early for church. This is a miracle in and of itself! We left and ate a quick lunch with Robert and "big" Anna Claire (I just love calling her that). We ran home, changed clothes and went on our first boat ride of the spring with Meemee and Pa. It was a perfect day for relaxing on the boat. Which is ironically named the "Playbuoy" HILARIOUS. *side note…it came with that name, Meemee and Pa did not name it that!!
Happy Weekend Yall!!
We eat on our back porch every night

Then we spread some dirt and TC laid sod down.
This was right before she rolled down the hill!!
She was only upset because she got her Hello Kitty shirt dirty.
