Trick or Treat Night #1

This afternoon we went to sorority row with some good friends to trick or treat. Allie Hunter and Reagan had a blast riding in the wagon and getting candy. The lines were out of control though. I think all of Tuscaloosa came out for some free candy! Here are a few pics and we have two more days of festivities!!

Weekend Update x2

We have been crazy busy at the Lightsey's these last few weeks. Last weekend TC raced at Barbers on Saturday and Sunday. So, he loaded up in the camper with his mom, dad and Reagan on Friday night to head up for the weekend. I stayed home because lets face it, four adults and 1 kid in a tiny little winnebago just does not mix. And if you know me well… then you know I am not much of a "camper". I rode up on Saturday and spent the day with them. It was an absolute perfect weather weekend. They had a great time and I had some much needed "alone" time. Although, I did get totally freaked out in the middle of the night because Murphy started barking at something.

Fast forward to this weekend. On Friday afternoon TC left work early and went and picked up a dog. Yep, that's right another dog. We have lost our minds. He is another Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and is 6 years old. His family recently moved and was looking for a home for him. We are still on a trial run basis to figure out if he's going to fit with our family. He and Murph are having a little alpha dog issue if you will. He even slept in the bed with us…. I told you we have lost our minds.

Friday night we had a surprise party for our friend Shelley over at Bill and Leigh's house. She turned 30 and we had a blast. She was totally surprised. (See video)

Saturday morning we got up and got ready to head to the quad. We went with Josh, Lindsey and little Anna Claire. The girls had so much fun at the parade. I think I heard Roll Tide about a million times. They were so stinking cute and loved every minute of the festivities. We had a big wagon they rode in so we never even had to carry them. Towards the end we froze our tails off though.

Saturday night we came home and built a fire. It was awesome until the wind started blowing. Then things got a little chilly and smoky so we took our party of three inside.

Sunday we got up and headed to church. We went out to lunch with Robert and Anna Claire and both set's of their parents. Then headed home for a Sunday afternoon at home relaxing. It's been such a nice couple of weeks and so much has happened in between. I am promising myself to start blogging more during the week!!

Weekend Update

We had a perfect weekend celebrating Patrick and Eileen's wedding festivities. The weather was amazing and the company even better. The wedding and reception was at Smith Hall on campus.
Here are a few pics from rehearsal.

How beautiful is Eileen?

Friday night after rehearsal we headed over to Tree House Farm and Nursery for the rehearsal dinner. It was so beautiful and the food was awesome.

The wedding was at 5:30 on Saturday afternoon. Everything went so perfectly and I know Patrick and Eileen had the wedding of their dreams. Reagan was awesome and had so much fun at the wedding and reception.

Reagan's Motorcycle

This past Saturday we spent the day up at TC's parent's land. It's a huge open field and perfect for learning to ride a motorcycle. TC had a dirt bike track there back in the good ole' days. Reagan LOVES it. She has had her motorcycle for awhile now, but is finally starting to really enjoy it. Pa (TC's dad) or TC run beside her turning the handle to make it go and helping her steer. This weekend TC decided it was time for her to learn to do it herself. We started out slow with Pa, TC or myself running beside her.

Let's face it, we all know I am not very sporty. I wish I had some video of me trying to help her. I kept running over my own feet. Literally running it into myself and I am missing some skin off my ankle as I type this.

It was a super fun day and we all had some good laughs. Here are some great pics and a video of our adventures. She isn't quite strong enough to do it for a long time but she's getting there. Now we just wait and see how long it takes Pa and TC to sign her up for a race.

I guess I will glue rhinestones to her jersey or at least get her a pink helmet so the boys know it's a girl out front winning. If she does nothing else in life for her daddy or her Pa, I hope she enjoys motorcycles for years to come. That alone will make them two happy men!

Poor Murph got tied to the tailgate.

Weekend Update

This weekend we had a super fun and fast weekend. Friday night we visited with Robert, Anna Claire, Bill, Leigh and of course Baby Grey. We got to enjoy some much needed friend time. Reagan was super sweet with Grey and kept making me nervous trying to kiss him…

Saturday we spent the day at TC's parent's land and rode dirtbikes. More on that in a different post. I have some great videos to share.

Sunday was our best day of all. After church we headed to the Grand Ole' Pumpkin Patch in Clanton. Reagan was so excited because Josh, Lindsey, "little" Anna Claire and baby Lillian went with us. It was some of the best memories our little family has made yet. I am not sure who had more fun, the adults or the girls. They did not stop playing and giggling the entire day.
We started with some hay pictures..

Loving sitting up high

So dang cute!

Sweet friends!

We rode the train.

And rode ponies...

And spent lots of daddy's money!

Fed the goats.

Got licked by the goats!!

Watched goats try to escape!

Sweet friends held hands all day long.

They didn't understand why I made them do this.

TC bought them candy.

So happy to get candy they hugged...

Sweet Lillian could not have been better, she slept thru the pumpkin patch!

Riding the covered wagon.
