Happy Anniversary TC!

Well we have made it another year! HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY TC! How have 4 years flown by so quickly? Who knew 10 years ago we would make it this far? We laugh all the time about how it happened. Pretty much by accident we both concluded… TC you have witnessed some of my best times and some of my worst. OH how you have seen the worst! (Insert Ulcerative Colitis diagnosis here) But you have stuck thru it and loved me thru it. You are a wonderful husband and baby daddy. We laugh everyday and have so much fun together. We have created one of the cutest and funniest kids around. We make a great team. You fry the wings, I sauce them… So here's some pictures from the years.

Memorial Day Weekend Update

Well, I think I have had one of the best Memorial day weekends that I can remember. It started on Saturday when TC, Reagan and I went out on the pontoon boat with Meemee and Pa. We had a great morning then swam in the pool. Bill, Rob and Brittany came and met us to play. Reagan stayed at their house for a nap while we all came back to our house. We had more friends over to hang out on the dock and swim Saturday afternoon. Saturday night TC, Bill and Rob cooked shrimp for us. (This is their new specialty) Sunday morning around 1:00am Reagan surprised us with throwing up all in our bed!! It was all over TC's back and butt!! Unfortunately in the middle of me picking her up to get her out of the bed she spewed the floor AGAIN!! We still aren't sure why she threw up? And she was totally fine after the "incident".

Sunday morning we did not go to church just in case she had some type of stomach bug. Around lunch time we dropped her off at Meemee and Pa's and we headed out to the river with Rob, Brittany and Bill-Bill. It was a super fun and relaxing day on the river with boat rides, jetski's and tubing. Rob and Brittany bought a HUGE six-seater float from Sam's that was awesome. We are def going to get one for our house. Sunday night Rob's parents cooked shrimp again for us and it was AMAZING. So glad we stayed for dinner.

Monday morning I helped TC put the jet boat in the water. We took Reagan on a boat ride before it got super crowded on the lake. Later that morning after we had a spotter in the boat, Reagan got to go on her first tube ride. She sat in my lap and according to Bill her eyes were closed most of the time! Although, as soon as we got back she wanted to go again. More friends showed up for lunch and we cooked hamburgers. We had a great afternoon on the dock playing in the water and having fun. We cooked chicken wings for dinner (My fav). We all ate too much and nobody could move after it was all over. Uncle Chase even showed up from Atlanta. It was seriously a GREAT weekend. I am so thankful for such amazing friends who I love so much.

Groomer in Training?

Warning: this is a completely rambling nonsense of a post. If you know me well, you will probably know that Murphy can be CA-RAZY… He has always freaked out at the groomers and one place that shall remain nameless even asked him not to return. It was probably one of the most embarrassing conversations I've had in my life. They are now out of business so HAH! Anyways, my other favorite groomer closed down and Murph was super hairy and it's getting pretty hot outside. Therefore, I recruited my little helper Reagan and we set out to shave him ourselves. Can you say DISASTER? At least in the beginning it was. We ended up having to cut him all over with scissors before the actual shaving. It took us 2 days and 4 hours worth of cutting and shaving. I have told Reagan about 3 million times that it is NOT ok to cut anybody's hair but Murphy's. Sorry Murph, better you than her. Well, rambling over. Murph does not look like he's been at the groomers but he doesn't look horrible either.
Before…
Not the best pic, but you get the drift.

Wakeboarding

So excuse my language, but I think my hubs is a pretty badass wakeboarder. I have spent many an hour riding in the boat while he has practised. As he sweetly once told me, "Please come, I need more weight in the boat to make the wake bigger". I am pretty sure I will never forget that one. Anyways, I can remember his first ever boat that he worked on more than we rode on I think. The summer after 10th grade he would get me to come to his house by promising me a boat ride. AHHH weren't those the good old days TC? I remember all those awesome spring and summer days in college where we might have skipped class to go on the boat with friends. And all those horrible falls on the days he was learning to turn flips. I have watched him put so many hard hours in while figuring it all out. And I know he loves being on the water behind the boat. Soooo, since he bought me a pretty amazing camera I thought I would take some pictures of him this past Sunday.
His beloved boat!
Sister is a great observer.

Murph never misses a move!
So proud of your awesomeness TC!

Reagan's Randoms

-In the car after preschool. "MOMMA!! Bailey went to time out 'cause she ate all Sam's chicken at lunchtime!!" She will totally spill the beans on all the good stuff that happens at preschool and I LOVE it.

-She asked why people were jumping off the table into the pool at a swimming party the other day. We had to tell her that those "tables" are also called diving boards.

-She knows that Meemee and Pa purchased a pontoon boat just for her, so she sweetly told TC and I at dinner the other night we could ride on her boat… um thanks?

-She enters a room and loudly yells at TC and I, "HEY!! What yall in here doin'?" She does this at least 5 times a day.

-She calls the golf cart her "buggy" and asks to go on a buggy ride at least once a day.

-She still thinks that McDonalds is called Old Macdonalds and we don't correct her.

-She fake cries then says, "I'am crying because… (Insert random reason why here)"

-The only time she actually tells you she has to potty is when she decides she wants an oatmeal creme pie as a reward.

And as I have bragged before she loves the pool and water. Here is a video of her swimming at Meemee and Pa's house

Weekend Update

Well, we had an incredibly busy weekend at the Lightsey's. Friday night we went out to CeeCee and Poppa's for a fish fry with some of their friends. It was delicious as always, Poppa can cook some great fish. Saturday was crazy because we had 4 events to be at! First off was a baby shower for a sweet friend Lacey. Her husband Rodney is one of TC's very best friends and they are going to be welcoming a baby boy this summer. While I was at the shower TC had to take Reagan to her first birthday party of the day. Allie Hunter turned 2 and it was super cute!! The girls had so much fun swimming.

They were both trying to eat
the ice cream by themselves!
When we left there, we headed over to our cousins Lilly's 3rd birthday party which was also a swimming party!! It was at Nana Sue and Pawpaw Bobby's house so we saw alot of family. Reagan got about an hour nap in between, but was ready to go at the next one!

Mean muggin' the camera of course
Jumping off the diving board.
Thank goodness Ashlyn was there to
catch her!
We had to leave Lilly's birthday early in order to get to a wedding by 6:30. We left before they cut the cake and OHMYGOODNESS was sister upset. She immediately told MeeMee and Pa as soon as we dropped her off that we didn't let her have cake! So, to make up for it we bought her a whole box of cupcakes at Winn Dixie this afternoon. So far we have had them 3 hours and she's eaten 2.

We made it to the wedding on time while Reagan spent the night with TC's parent's (Meemee and Pa). The wedding was at Northriver and was absolutely beautiful! I didn't get any pictures of the bride and groom but they both looked amazing.

That leads us to Sunday and TC and I slept in and watched Church of the Highlands online. It was actually really cool laying in bed together and worshipping. A first for both of us. We then went out on the boat so that TC could wakeboard. Reagan swam in Meemee and Pa's pool and then we all layed around while she napped. I got some really awesome pictures of TC wakeboarding but am going to save those for a separate post.

It was a wonderful, fun and eventful weekend! So thankful for our many blessings.

Swimming Lessons

So Reagan is a totally awesome swimmer for being 2 1/2. I mean, I am her mother so that probably influences why I think that, but she is seriously a really good swimmer. She LOVES the water and has NO fear of it. We have been doing swimming lessons for about two months now and she is obsessed. She loves her teacher Davis and he is so sweet with her. She pushes me away in the water and demands I let go of her. Well, finally to show her what would happen, I did and you know what? SHE SANK (like a rock people)!!! The whole time she is floating under the water she is just looking up at me with this huge grin on her face. I grabbed her up and she high fived me, then said, "I CAN SWIM!" I unfortunately told her that actually she had sunk to the bottom. But that's ok, because she totally ignored me and continued to tell everyone around her that she can swim. You just have to love that sweet spirit!
Already embarrassed I am taking pictures at swimming lessons

Watching the big kids.

She told me to stop taking pictures because she had an itch.

Crawfish Boil 2012

This weekend was our group of friends 4th Annual Crawfish Boil and it was at the Lightsey's! I was so excited for everyone to come to our house for a lake day and crawfish boil that night. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. TC was awesome at getting the outside prepared. We even hung a huge curtain in the back of our garage to cover all the junk. We were having live music, so we didn't want our friend Will's backdrop to be all our junk. After all was said and done we had 9 dogs. YES 9!! We had such a good time and I LOVE when all our friends are together. It doesn't matter if it's rainy or sunny when we are all together its hilarious. I live for being with my friends. Here are a few quick pictures of our weekend…
