Well there is absolutely nothing worse than a sick baby. Last Thursday when we woke up from naptime Reagan was running a fever. Fast forward to Friday and she had to go to the doc. I had to work so Reagan was with MeeMee. She had to take her to the pediatrician for me and then ended up having to go to the hospital for a chest x-ray and bloodwork. TC met them there and said Reagan did great! Personally I am thankful I was not there for bloodwork. I do not do well with her being in pain. It is now Sunday and we still have a fever and are doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. She basically has upper respiratory junk going on. She has been pitiful and breaking our hearts. TC and I have been double teaming her and literally man handling her to get medicine down. She is 2 years and almost 3 months and weighed in at whopping 22 lbs on Friday. To be that skinny and little she is STRONG! It takes two people to get the job done.
Saturday morning she felt a little better so we decided to go thru with our circus plans. We went with our BFF Anna Claire who is also 2! TC had never been to the circus and I LOVED watching his face. I think I watched him watch the circus more than I did Reagan. We discovered some good news and that is, if Gradescape doesn't work out we can join the circus. TC is going to be the motorcycle rider in the steel ball, Murphy is going to be one of the show dogs, I am going to do the trapeze cause it just looks fun and Reagan is going to ride the elephants around. Sounds like a plan huh? I tried to get some pics with my dinky little camera (working really hard to get my hubs to buy me a new one) but its currently not cooperating so I can't upload them. My fav part of the circus? Watching those big ole elephants do tricks. It was pretty dang cool y'all.

Drama Queen
I am working on remembering to enjoy every little minute with my sweet two year old. Time is flying by and it seems like just yesterday she was a tiny 2lb screaming little person in my arms. As I sit and write this tonight, I am listening to TC in her room putting her to bed. She is just jabbering away about anything and everything. Speaking in sentences and making me crack up. Why am I sitting in the living room crying? She is growing up SOOO fast. She keeps me laughing. She is my JOY. She just asked TC to tell her a story to which he replied, "OK, this one is about a man named Jeb." This, my friends, is why I laugh all the time.
She is such a girly girl and so dramatic. We are either happy or crying. It's just a two year old thing. Or maybe a 26 year old thing too? She may get those mood swingsfrom her momma naturally.

Today in the car when I picked her up from school I asked if she had fun and she immediately said "MOMMA, Madden (her friend) frew up everywhere!!" My first thought was oh great we are gonna all get the stomach bug....But then I just had to laugh. She is telling us everything.
She has random thoughts and will pop out with anything at anytime. Todays randoms have been in no specific order:
-"Murphy is sooo hairy!!" (in an excited giggly voice)
-"Poppa snores really loud"
-"Where my daddy? Him in the bathroom, he prolly had to tee tee"
-"Roll Tide, Go Bama....what that mean?"

Typical
I can't believe I forgot to mention on my blog last week that I accidentally locked myself, Reagan and Murphy outside. The good news: I had my cellphone in my hand. The bad news: our house has NO way to break inside. Wait, maybe that's good news too? Poppa came to the rescue to try to help me, but other than breaking a window there was no way inside. Needless to say, my very happy husband had to drive all the way across town in the middle of a very busy day to let the three of us inside.
On another note...So anybody that knows me well, knows that I always have something random wrong with me. In true Meg fashion my left ankle and leg started swelling up. After a fun trip to the local MedCenter and antibiotics my cankle continued to grow. Therefore, my sweet momma and husband joined me for a Friday night in the ER. Well needless to say we got to enjoy our evening with some CRAZIES!!! Our favorite was a very large and scary looking lady who came in moaning and groaning up a storm. Well she wasn't fond of the wait time so she banged on the window and didn't get the reaction she needed. She then pretended to stumbled, made sure she was gonna lean on the wall, slid down, and proceeded to roll over. The whole time having a "Lawdy Jesus, oh Lawdy Jesus" fit. Well her plan worked and she jumped me in line for a room! I did have time to snap a picture of her laying in the ER floor which I then texted to all my friends.... SO that was a good ole' Lightsey Friday night. Oh and the best news? I get to go back tonight and get IV antibiotics again for my foot!

Winter Blues
And another week of winter has almost passed us by. To me this is the most depressing few months. Christmas is over, my birthday is over, Tc's birthday is over, and no holidays off work in the near future. At least once a day, TC and I turn to each other and say, "I flippin hate winter!" I am so ready for summer. I love summertime activities and summer clothes. I am so excited we will be living on the lake this year. It's going to be awesome. Reagan asks at least 3,000 times a day to "go outside mommy!". That kid would stay outside all day if you let her. She will just wander the yard and play. I LOVE that she loves outside as much as she does. (I don't want one of those weird video game/TV loving kids)
We have had an uneventful week. Monday preschool was closed for MLK day, so Reagan got to spend the day with Poppa. I'm sure they ate marshmallows for breakfast as usual. Tuesday I tried a new chicken pot pie recipe. EPIC FAIL. It was terrible. Tc ate it God bless him. Reagan and I pretended to eat ours and I plan on throwing the rest in the lake for the fishies. Wednesday we had a play date at Chick Fil A play place. Needless to say I didn't look cute crawling to the top to make Reagan come down. She was LOVING it and having the time of her life. I was that mom at the bottom trying to bribe my kid down. And then that mom again when she pitched a two year old temper tantrum cause it was time to go. And that brings us to Thursday. It's just been a long one to say the least!! TGIF TOMORROW.

Nothing Important
I have absolutely nothing of importance to blog about. Just random Lightsey family updates. TC and I have both had birthdays since I last blogged. They were honestly kinda depressing. Yes, I know we are only 26 and 27 but that's getting close to 30 people!!
I have decided 2012 is going to be an awesome year. A year of temper tantrums and time outs, but a year of fun. Reagan has shown us in the last week that she is her own person for sure. That kid is so stinkin' hard headed it isn't funny. (This is definitely a trait from her father I am sure) Spankings are NOT working, she could care less! Therefore, I have tried time out. This seems to possibly be working. She sits in her room and screams like there is no tomorrow, but realizes she's in trouble. I have discovered I usually have to hide my face from laughing at whatever she is doing to be in trouble. It just cracks us up to watch her learn and figure us out. And I will be the first to admit she has ME figured out.
A few Reagan funnies:
*Everything right now is "I don't want to!"
*She thinks hiding is putting her hands over her eyes. Literally will stand in the middle of the room and think you can't see her. It probably doesn't help TC and I go along with it most of the time.
*She came and told me the other day she wasn't playing with the plug and socket. Ummm? Ok? Needless to say she got shut out of the room she was playing in!
*She takes her baby dolls to the potty and sits them on it and pretends they go to the bathroom. She then tries to tell me they need Dora gummies as a treat. I gave this one an A for creativity!

Resolutions
So I am going to blog my resolutions this year for accountability's sake. All five of you people who read my blog need to hold me accountable.
1)Daily devotional and reading my bible more. The first months devotions are on finding your joy. How awesome is that? I have joy but the bible says so much about it, and I can't wait to learn more scriptures in regards to what the Lord has to say about JOY.
2) Blog more!! I write this blog basically for Reagan to look back on one day and know how much she was loved and how fun she makes our world. I want to blog at the very least once a week. On awesome weeks every other day. We will see how that turns out.
3) Try to be more grammatically correct while blogging. I hate commas and periods. Sorry, I just do. But my bestie, Chase, informed me he cannot read my blog due to the horrible grammar. And yes, I am a huge fan of the run on sentence. I am going to blame never having an English teacher I liked in both high school or college.
4) I stole this one from my friend Leigh. Live in the moment! I tend to worry about EVERYTHING and try to plan out every step of my life. I am going to give my worries to God. Or try very hard to.
That's it folks. No exercising or eating better nonsense. That would just be typing lies.
