So Friday night our amazing, wonderful, sweet and dear best friends kept Reagan for us. Bill Bill and Leigh are two of TC and my best friends, whom we love dearly. (And NOT just because they babysat Friday night either) Reagan was pumped when we got there and could have cared less that we were leaving her. She LOVES being at their house anytime, so she was thrilled to be the center of attention for a few hours. They of course had super fun things planned for her like a whole bubble blowing extravaganza and painting. They are brave because they actually gave her real paints and paper and whatnot.
While Reagan was having the time of her life, TC and I went to the Luke Bryan concert. We had SO MUCH FUN. He put on an amazing show at the ampitheater here in Tuscaloosa. I didn't even realize I knew over half the songs he sang. TC is the music buff in our house not me.
Saturday morning we all slept late then took a trip to Lowe's. Thank goodness I put on makeup because we saw about 50 people we knew. We ended up with a new outdoor rug for the porch and cushions for my chairs. Reagan and TC were playing in the yard Saturday afternoon when she started freaking out! TC was right beside her and couldn't figure out what had happened? Turns out she tried to pick up a Buckmoth Caterpillar! It stung her little hand and obviously hurt pretty bad. I think it took us almost an hour to get her calmed down. And yes, we googled what kind of caterpillar it was. Needless to say, she probably will never touch a caterpillar again in her life! Saturday night Bill Bill came over for dinner while Leigh worked. Uncle Jason also showed up and the five of us had some awesome boiled shrimp with new potatoes and corn on the cob.
Sunday morning we headed to church and watched an amazing event. About 20 people were baptized at the Church of the Highlands Tuscaloosa campus. It was such a humbling experience to be a part of. Reagan even got to see what was happening and had a million questions. Makes my heart proud to teach her what being a Christian is about. Her sweet innocent words hit home when she said, "I so happy I clappin' for them!!" She obviously doesn't get it all the way, but she knew the joy that everyone around her was feeling and took part in it.
Sunday afternoon we ended with a spontaneous boat ride with our good friends Josh, Lindsey and little Anna Claire. That's the joy of living on the lake! We just randomly got picked up for a boat ride!!
Hope you are all as blessed as the Lightsey's today!! And sorry for no pictures, I was a slacker this weekend!
