Weekend Update
Another week over. They are flying by way too fast these days. Friday night TC, Reagan and I had a quick dinner at Jalapenos near our house then spent the night just hanging out. Reagan is actually kind of fun to take to restaurant these days. *Note: This is not always these case with her two year old self.
Saturday morning TC and Reagan left early to go to the racetrack at Barbers. TC was having a race day and took sister with him. She LOVES the racetrack and he said she was awesome all day. I had a day to myself and laid out on the dock with some of my friends from work.
Also on Saturday morning I got a text from our BFF Bill that said Leigh was in the hospital with contractions. We are so excited to meet Grey, just not quite yet. Leigh is only 33 weeks and he needs a little more time to develop. Saturday night we went to visit them and take dinner to the hospital. Leigh looked fabulous as always.
Sunday morning was church as usual then we came home to spend some quality time down at the lake. We swam and played on the dock. It's been a short weekend and I am sad it's over. I have had my phone in my hand at every second making sure Bill hasn't called or texted me. TC and I have been in their shoes delivering a baby early and it's the scariest thing in this world. Please, please, please say a prayer for the Vaughan's as they go thru this season in their life. Say a prayer for Grey that the steroids have helped develop his lungs and both he and momma have a safe delivery. Not sure when he's going to decide the time is right but Bill is saying sooner rather than later. WE LOVE YOU BILL, LEIGH AND GREY!!

Reagan's funnies...
Reagan has the funniest sense of humor these days that just make TC and I look at each other and laugh hysterically. If anybody else were to answer you like this, then you would think they were being a total jerk and/or smartass. Yet, she is not, and it's the cutest thing ever. Most recent are:
TC: "Reagan don't talk with your mouth full, I can't understand you"
Reagan then takes the food out of her mouth holds it with her hand and says, "What I said was…"
*I am pretty sure I fell out in the floor. I mean he basically asked for that.
Poppa asked her where the popcorn was and she sweetly replied, "In the bag".
CeeCee asked her what 3+3- to which she replied… All of them.
She was playing "pretend" and brought me her little bunny to pet. I held it and pretended to pet it and asked what color it was? She looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "I dunno, I can't see it?"
Other funny stories from lately:
She has quit counting correctly and just says: 1, 2, 3, 2, 1 BLASTOFF!!!
She randomly asked me how baby Grey was going to come out? I just brushed it off and said I didn't know. She sat there for a minute then said, "Bill Bill is just gonna pull him out prolly". I mean that's a pretty legit way of thinking about it and let's face it, it could actually happen. I mean do y'all know Bill? He's pretty much Macgver. I wouldn't put delivering a baby past him.
She was really excited one day when TC came home. She ran up and started trying to tell him something and just couldn't get it out. Basically stuttering, "I…I….ummm, I" TC just looked at her because he had just walked in the door and had no idea what she needed so she said, "Come on, I'll just show you!!"
When we are getting ready to leave the house and she's tired of us taking to long she says, "OK everybody, LINE UP…come on, line up at the door everybody"

Weekend Update
Where has the time gone? It's the middle of JULY people!? This summer is flying by quickly an I feel like I haven't embraced it like I should have. On that note, we had a great weekend. Do I ever say we had a bad one? Anyways, TC was out of town all weekend for a bachelor party. They camped and rafted the Ocoee river. It sounds like that had a blast on their "man weekend."
We, on the other hand, had a girls weekend. Friday night I had some "me" time and got my hair done. I swear I should have been a hair dresser. The beauty shop is seriously one of my favorite places. Then Saturday morning Reagan, Mom and I decided to go to the McWance Science Center. We took a quick side trip thru Fayette and dropped Aunt Janice off for a party, and ended up in Bham around 11:30. Reagan LOVED the McWane Center. They had a whole Dora exhibit and she was in heaven. When we left there we went to Sumo for a late lunch and she was amazed at the hibachi grill. She sat perfectly still and watched the whole time. Lunch was followed by a trip to the Galleria for some shopping. She was awesome the entire trip and of course talked me into riding the carousel and a cookie. She also sweet talked me into some new lipstick. (It was cherry chapstick.) She put some on for church this morning and said, "OK now I look real pretty, let's go!"
After church mom, Reagan, Anna Claire and I went to lunch at Newks. I enjoyed my weekend with my momma so much. We even had a spend the night party. Reagan was loving the fact that we were all together for two days. She kept telling us she was having "so much fun!" We made some great memories and I am so glad to have had this weekend with the both of them.

We made the cover!
So about a month ago Reagan was asked by her ballet teacher to come in for a photo shoot. We went up to Academy of Ballet and Jazz and met during the day with a few other older girls. She was the youngest there and didn't have a clue what was going on. Her teacher was there and the owner of the school Mrs. Susu fitting everybody for the upcoming shoot. They picked the most precious white leotard and tutu for Reagan to wear. I tried to explain we were going to get her picture made in it the next day, but she didn't get it.
We show up at Crosby Thomley's studio here in T-town and this is where the story goes downhill. It's no secret Ray Ray is famous for the "stink eye" she gives the camera. (And people she doesn't like talking to her for that matter) So here we are in a professional studio, dressed up in a beautiful outfit with our hair fixed and she freezes up. Now, she isn't crying or screaming which could have been the case, she is just standing there mean muggin' everybody. NO SMILES… I mean nothing, no facial expressions at all. Just standing in the middle of the room looking at us. A room full of people are jumping up and down, talking in funny voices and standing on our heads trying to get her to smile just a little. She just stands there people. For almost an hour we try on and off for a picture. NOTHING. Not even a half smile. So here I am mortified but what do you expect? The kid's two and she is at the age if she doesn't want to do it, it ain't happening. So there go my dreams of being a dance mom. They were dashed before we even began our dance modeling career. But low and behold this Saturday we open the mailbox and find the ABJ catalog. RAY RAY IS ON THE COVER! And you know what? Girlfriend still ain't smiling! But isn't it the dang cutest thing you've ever seen?

Grey's Baby Shower
Our weekend was amazing. We celebrated our best friend's Bill and Leigh's new baby. Grey is due near the beginning of September and let me tell you, he is already one loved boy! The baby shower was a couples party so that all of our friends would have a great reason to get together. It turned out absolutely perfect. The weather didn't want to cooperate, but it really worked out perfectly in the end. We had to put all the tables on the porch, but I loved the way it looked. We started out with dinner then all gathered to watch them open presents. It was truly a joyful event and one I know we will always remember. I absolutely cannot wait for Grey to arrive. Bill and Leigh are going to be the most fabulous parents and you can already see the love they share for Grey. Come on Grey we are ready for you!!

4th of July
4th of July was an awesome day at the Lightsey's. We had a bunch of friends over all day. Everybody arrived around lunchtime to play on the dock and swim. Since it was the 4th there was a ton of traffic back and forth in front of our house. Reagan loves the waves where there are a bunch of boats. She loves swimming in the lake these days and will even let TC throw her off the dock into the water! We hung out all day playing and swimming then ate boston butt for dinner. All in all it was a great day and one I think everybody enjoyed.

Weekend Update
Short and sweet weekend update from the Lightsey's. We had a long week with the random holiday in the middle. (I will post my 4th pictures this week). So needless to say, on Friday night we were pooped! I came home and cooked dinner, which I never do on Fridays. Then I think we were all in bed by 9pm. Not exciting stuff there huh?
Saturday morning was raining. Thank goodness for that because we needed it desperately around here. We lazed around pretty much all day. TC took Reagan over to Meemee and Pa's for about a little bit and I watched a movie at home. That is a luxury I NEVER get and I LOVED it. Saturday night we went over to Josh and Lindsey's for a cookout. Reagan and Anna Claire were so happy to see each other and get to play. They literally ran in circles they were so happy. I hope as they grow older they remain best friends. The kind that you have known forever and know you can always count on. Anna Claire's baby sister is due in just a few weeks, so we are enjoying these last few visits with the Johnson's as a family of three.
Sunday we headed to church then went to lunch with Robert,"big" Anna Claire and Will. Newk's just never disappoints us these days. We spent the afternoon at Meemee and Pa's in the pool. It was all in all a great weekend.
This is going to be a very busy week as we get ready for Bill and Leigh's baby shower on Saturday. It's at our house, so I have LOTS of cleaning to do! I am so very excited to celebrate baby Grey this weekend. It's a couples shower so that means all our friends will be together. You can't go wrong with all of us together.

Mini Ballet Recital
So last Wednesday we had a little mini recital at ballet. I didn't invite anyone other than her grandparents since I figured she would freeze up. OH was I so wrong!! She wasn't exactly jumping for joy at dancing but she stayed in her spot and followed directions. I will admit that I totally bribed her beforehand. The teacher sent home a note encouraging flowers and/or balloons. Since she is two and could care less about that, I totally bought a toy. I know, I know who does that? But I did and judge me if you will… it worked.
Here are a couple of hilarious videos for your viewing pleasure. I mean ballet/tap is pretty serious business around our house and you can see the concentration on her face. Oh and for everyone I didn't invite we will be doing this again in July and we would love for more visitors to come watch!!

Weekend Update
Friday night was date night…for the three of us. We started out at our favorite Mexican restaurant El Kmart. (The real name is something way longer.) We just call it El Kmart because its in the same shopping center as Kmart… Anyways. Reagan was super cute and funny and ate a ton of her food. We left there and went to Academy. TC needed "stuff". I don't even remember what we bought? So then I decided I needed "stuff", so I made him take me to Ulta. Because a girl always needs more makeup and lip gloss and nail polish right? Oh and if you heard/saw a crazy 2 year old running thru Academy, my bad… She was enjoying herself being loud and crazy and quite frankly I was too full to care. Dinner was delicious.
Saturday morning TC went to ride his new motorcycle we bought two weeks ago. Did I mention he purchased a YELLOW one? And I mean its yellow people. Very, very yellow. Reagan and I went to lunch with our BFF "Anta Claire" at Chick fil A. They have been missing each other and needed to play! We spent the rest of Saturday at home hanging out. TC didn't get home till late so we just chilled out and spent a nice relaxing night at home.
Sunday morning we were up early to head to church. It was a great sermon by one of Church of the Highlands guest pastors. He did a phenomenal job and we loved it. We spent all afternoon Sunday on the lake. CeeCee and Rodney came to play with us and some other friends stopped by on their pontoon boat. All in all another great weekend for the books.
